Professional Pickleball Association of Hong Kong

1. Name and Registered Office

1.1 The name of the Association shall be "Professional Pickleball Association of Hong Kong" (hereinafter referred to as "PPAHK" or "the Association").

1.2 The registered office of the Association shall be situated in Hong Kong at such address as the Executive Committee may from time to time determine.

2. Objects

2.1 The objects for which the Association is established are:

• To promote, develop, and govern the sport of pickleball in Hong Kong

• To establish and maintain standards for pickleball coaching and officiating

• To organize competitions, tournaments, and other events

• To represent Hong Kong in international pickleball organizations

• To develop elite athletes for international competition

• To promote pickleball as a healthy recreational activity for all ages​

 

3. Membership​

3.1 Types of Membership:

• Individual Member

• Family Member

• Student Member

• Corporate Member

• Honorary Member

 

3.2 Rights of Members:

• To attend and vote at General Meetings

• To participate in Association activities and events

• To receive Association communications and newsletters

• To access member facilities and services

 

3.3 Obligations of Members:

• To pay membership fees as determined by the Executive Committee

• To abide by the rules and regulations of the Association

• To conduct themselves in a manner befitting a member of the Association

4. Executive Committee​

4.1 The affairs of the Association shall be managed by an Executive Committee consisting of:

• President

• Vice President(s)

• Secretary General

• Treasurer

• Directors of various departments

 

4.2 The Executive Committee shall be elected at the Annual General Meeting for a term of two years.

 

5. General Meetings

5.1 Annual General Meeting (AGM): The Association shall hold an AGM once in each calendar year.

 

5.2 Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM): May be convened by the Executive Committee or upon written request by not less than 20% of voting members.

 

6. Finance

6.1 The financial year of the Association shall be from 1st January to 31st December.

 

6.2 The accounts of the Association shall be audited annually by a qualified auditor.

 

6.3 The Association's funds shall be used solely for the objects stated in this Article of Association.

 

7. Amendments

7.1 This Article of Association may be amended by a resolution passed by not less than two-thirds of the members present and voting at a General Meeting.

 

8. Dissolution

8.1 The Association may be dissolved by a resolution passed by not less than three-fourths of the members present and voting at a General Meeting specifically convened for this purpose.

 

8.2 Upon dissolution, any remaining assets after settling all liabilities shall be donated to a charitable organization with similar objects.
